Dr. Perez-Estremera earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ponce Health Sciences University, School of Brain and Behavioral Sciences. During her doctoral studies, she specialized in Neuropsychological Assessment, Neurorehabilitation, and Health Psychology.

She conducted research on neurodegenerative diseases in adults and neurodevelopmental disorders in children. Her passion for neuroscience and neuropsychology led her to complete multiple professional certifications in Neuropsychological Rehabilitation and Neuropsychological Assessment.

Dr. Perez-Estremera has clinical experience in hospitals, wellness centers, and private practice. She completed her postdoctoral hours in Forensic and Clinical Neuropsychology, expanding her expertise in complex psychological and cognitive evaluations.

Her work includes psychological, cognitive, psychoeducational, and independent medical evaluations. She has also served in nursing and rehabilitation centers, working primarily with adult and geriatric populations.

She values multiculturalism and is dedicated to diversity, empathy, and inclusion. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Perez-Estremera provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and teaches in the master’s degree program in Neuropsychology at Carlos Albizu University.

Today, Dr. Perez-Estremera is the Board Certified Neuropsychologist at Compass Counseling Services, offering advanced neuropsychological assessment and clinical guidance. She is one of the few Board-Certified Neuropsychologists in the region.
